Red Road Linear Park Description

Red Road Linear Park is a 1.3 mile paved trail that runs along the west bank of the Snapper Creek Canal. The trail intersects and overlaps the Old Cutler Bike Trail starting at the pedestrian bridge that crosses the Snapper Creek Canal at 104th Street through the south end of the linear park, where it crosses over the west side of Red Road (57th Ave). There is an abundant amount of native wildlife and aquatic waterfowl along as well as invasive exotic species such as the iguanas, basilisk lizard, African red head agama, Tokay gecko and many more that thrive along the trail. Red Road Linear Park isn’t only for animal lovers, it also offers the chance to fish, walk, inline skate, bike and mountain bike. With something for everyone this trail will certainly be a popular spot among Floridian’s and tourists alike.

Parking and Trail Access

Parking available at the Pincrest Gardens, the former site of the historic Parrot Jungle, or adjacent Canal Structure S-22, where there is excellent fishing opportunities. I've seen people park at Pinecrest Elementary School on weekends, between 102nd and 104th streets.

Red Road Linear Park Reviews

A Pinecrest nice walk

This trail is in a school area zone so even if there is a road next to it the cars go slowly and are not loud. The canal is beautiful and really well taken care of, with local animals on the side as birds, iguanas and fish. The best parking I found is in the Pinecrest Garden when open
