Great ride for young children on their own. Keep an eye out for homeless, garbage, and the smell. Beyond that, it's a great ride. Though needs a little greenery.
Mostly this location is good to hike. MTB was tough since there’s some pretty steep hills and not a ton of room to run. me and my friend had fun but we had to walk our bikes up a couple times. We are also both almost 60 year old women so… Maybe a young 25 year old guy can write up those with no problem …¿ but we didn’t see anybody else riding bicycles there maybe one guy. a lot of the areas are not shaded or protected so don’t go when it’s over 90°. But it’s a beautiful spot with some cool areas to explore. but if I was gonna go back I would probably just go for hiking
Great family trail! Stopped and had lunch at O’Brien store very close to the trail.
They have just opened a new addition at the West End of the marsh Creek Trail. You cross over Concord Avenue and continue on for an approximate mile and a half to near the intersection of Vineyard Parkway. And marsh Creek Road
If you start from Oakleys Big Break until the End in Brentwood it’s about a 20 mile RT. Safe, nice sites.
I thoroughly enjoyed this trail. The ride up the hill is quite the workout. You will feel it in your legs. When you hit the top, the views are breathtaking. Beautiful views of green pastures toward Folsom Prision. The ride back down the hill is so freakin fun. It was a blast from beginning to end. ***Word to the wise, I’m not sure this is a good trail for kids. It’s pretty tough for the first 1/3 of the trail and the ride down hill really picks up quickly.
My wife and I have cycled in many scenic places in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Mexico. Some of these trips have been 3-months long, but when we return to the ARBT we are amazed at how spectacular it can be throughout the entire year. We are fortunate to be able to ride almost every day of the year in Sacramento and the ARBT certainly facilitates our riding throughout the entire Sacramento area.
Rode this trail from Elk Grove via Grant Line to Folson Rec. Area while visitingfor the holidays. Nice flat trail, great for getting away from the traffic. Pretty impressed with the trail system out here, you can get 50 plus miles out of it.
